Swissvax is a complete care system for the treatment of cars. It includes a coordinated range of products for washing, cleaning and care.

Like many unique products, our products were also developed and produced at the start on a small scale at the start. The former "Anwander" chemists from Zurich were responsible for both laboratory work and the production of the first "Antikwachs" jars. An old wax formula was used for antique furniture and lacquer.

Since these precious pots "Antikwachs" were produced, the Anwander family has dedicated themselves to producing paint, lacquer and wax for up to 3 generations. The natural autowaxes were first produced for the personal use of grandfather and founder Hans Anwander. Over the years, the formula has been thoroughly modified to meet customer demand, environmental requirements and technological changes.

To this day, waxes are produced exclusively by hand. The complex formula does not allow large-scale industrial production. Compromising is not in line with our passionate vision to make the best products. We would like to invite you to experience.

The difference

Swissvax waxes contain no abrasives and can be used on all types of lacquered surfaces. Even old nitrocellulose lacquers, modern water-based lacquers and nano lacquers can be coated with our waxes. Swissvax uses two components: cleaning oil and wax. The waxes are easy and pleasant to use and leave no residue on rubbers or in crevices.

Carnauba is the world's hardest, purest, most transparent and most expensive natural wax. It comes from the upper part of the leaves of the "Copernicia Prunifera", a Brazilian palm species and is classified according to color and brightness. The highest quality is classified as rare "first degree" and is used in our waxes. The gloss level depends on the percentage of carnauba used in the wax formula. While conventional waxes contain a carnauba percentage of 3 to 5%, our Swissvax waxes contain 30 to 76%!

The Swissvax carnauba formulas, enriched with passion fruit, orange, avocado and vanilla oil, repair the lacquer and provide a deep shine. The result is an even deeper, unique "wet look" that collectors and car enthusiasts around the world use.

Carnauba waxes in themselves are not new. 100% carnauba waxes were already produced in the early nineteenth century. The disadvantage of 100% carnauba waxing, is the much too short life span.

The Swissvax secret

The Swissvax secret lies in the extremely durable carnauba wax formulations which are made in a production process that takes several hours and is carried out by using double-walled microparticles. Also known as "microencapsulation". The surface morphology and the composition of the microparticles can be examined under the electron microscope and with a fourier infrared transformation spectorscoop (FTIR). The results indicate that both the concentration and morphology start depends on the wax composition, the protective colloid, the external polymer layer and the organic solvent, this is what makes the wax so soluble. The thermophysical properties of the waxes are strongly dependent on the synthesis conditions, this is why other producers have not yet succeeded in imitating the durable qualities of our waxes.
